16.10.08 Thursday

Today was the last evening of Andrea. So we went into the best chinese restaurant in edinburgh. (Brian, who was restaurant tester told us it is the best). I ate noodles in a ham broth. And it tasted really great. For the dessert I ate some fruity dumpings. After that we went into a pub and an had a beer. Later, we went on our last bus. It was a nice night.
I'm sad that my language stay is also over.

15.10.08 Wednesday

oh dear, on saturday I have to fly back. But I want to stay one week longer in Edinburgh. Because I haven't seen all the pub or the sights.
On the evening I returned and at haggis, but it wasn't really unusual. I'm thinking that I had this food once before. I helped my hostdad with a block of cement. He thought we weren't able to move this 'bastard'. After that I went to the tron at 8.30. We were downstairs and watch a little bit football (england vs. Bel... 3:1) after that we drop one after the other beer. Until I had to go home. It was a nice evening.

14.10.08 Tuesday

I bought my CD (Royal Oak). I ate pasta in the evening. When we went out we go first to the Royal Oak but it is really a small pub so we weren't able to sit down. So we went over the street and wanted to go into a jazz pub but they wanted 4£ for the entry. So we went to the Odeon. It was a dark pub, and because they hadn't a chocolate for Lea, we changed the pub again. We went to the grassmarket were we wanted first go in the (white thing in 'sth. like that') but it was so busy that we went into the last drop pub. There were some nice ladys. And we drop one beer but it wasn't the last one. We went into the mholligan pub and it was really nice and cheap. (I love their toilet:P). After that I went home.

13.10.08 Monday

Nothing interessting. After school I went with Samuel to a CD shop. I saw a nice CD of a pub (Royal Oak), Shooglnifty and some other good stuff, but I wasn't able to chose one of them. After that I went home. And I was on the computer the hole evening.

12.10.08 Sunday

Tour with the Haggis Adventure company. There were a lot of chinese guys in the bus and it smells terrible. I didn't saw the nessie monster, but the heather fields on the way to loch ness were great. 9£ for a tour on the loch ness with the boat.

11.10.08 Saturday

I get up at 8.30 and went to the gallery of art. After that I ate a sandwich, went into a shop and bought a Scotland sweater. Then I went to a house with old furniture. They shout Gardeloo if they through the water on the street. After that I went to the Calltonhill. It was nice but I stay there for a short time. I didn't want to pay 3£ for going on the one-o'clock tower. So I 'ran' on the top of the Arthur Seat (it was my second time on the top). We walked down and ate a lot of crisppacks. When we stand on the feet the other bought an ice by the icebus. We walked back into the center where Mischel bought a rugby shirt. Then we went home. In the evening we went first in a chinese restaurant (all you can eat 14£) and after that we went into a dark pub (black rose). With taff guys and hard songs. There was also Cindy's mother which went with the girlfriend of martin to edinburgh. They left really early because they went to Inverness. After that I left to because I'm going to the loch ness on sunday.

Today a storyteller came to school. He told us some funny stories about the scottish culture. The first story was about an archer who killed the crocodile of the king. Now I'm bored, to write about the other stories.

9.10.08 Thursday

School like every day. After school I went to a cinema with the 5 other guys. We payd for the entry 8.65£ and 4.20£ for the popcorn. After the film I had to stress at home, because i didn't told my hostfamily that I will watch a film (the duchess). What I learned today? Try never kissing a chinese girl on here check!:)

8.10.08 Wednesday

Holy shit! When I want to get into my bus, my 4-week ticket didn't worked. The driver cleaned my card and tried it again but it didn't work. So he told me I have to pay 2.25/.5. The problem is, they can't give you any change and I had only 5£ and 10£ with me. Luckily he let me in and told me, that I have to go to the ticket corner for a new ticket. A really stressful situation. We were on the street in the first lesson and made a lot of interviews for school. In the evening I ate fishpasta. It was not really my meal. After that we went to the tron. First we had a seat in the corner. At 9 o'clock p.m. we went downstairs and had the biggest lunch. We talked a little bit and played the same drinking game like the last week with the other guys. I went home at 23.30.

7.10.08 Tuesday

Hello everyone
Today I had a little bit headache, but I don't now why. If you you think, that the reason was the beer. I can tell you, no it wasn't. In the first hour we had fluency class and we talked about things in scotland. (fish n chips, famous people, haggis, kilt, bagpipes) after that we had to prepare an interview for tomorrow. If it is good weather we have to make an interview with the people on the street. Our topic was about the culture. After that we had a discussion about the jobs, which are especially male, female. In the second lesson we made a speaking exercise. We have to chose the perfect caches for the animal in a zoo. Then we had a short break. And always if we have a break I try to sit on a computer for writting a little bit in my travel diary.

6.10.08 Monday (3th week)

Hello guys
In our first school lesson, we have our fluency class. 9.00-10.00 o'clock. Today we made a radio programm. Our was about a cat, which ate a husband. Terrible story.:)
After that we had a grammair lesson. First renette our teacher made for me a swiss roulade, after that we wrote a grammair test and then we made a game, where we have to describe a word which we learned during the last week. In the second hour, some new students came in our class. (swiss, spanish, lady from vienna). We read stories about children, who grow up in nature. And in the second part, we listen to people, who live in different areas (countryside, city). When we had tea I went in the sandwichsub and bought a warm sandwich (ham and cheddar). Walked back and bought a packet of crisp fingers (twix). In the afternoon we had one lesson masterclass. In this lesson I tried to learn a little bit the future forms. Or only one part of these forms. After the Masterclass we had a reading and writting lesson. It is really more difficult. It was about the the work of a samariter and should you help someone today. Know I've freetime. I took the 49 back and read in the new book (emergency case or something like this). When I arrived at home, I took some money from the card machine and bought some papers for school. At tea I ate a potatoes, broccoli and cheese and marshroom tarte. It tasted good. After that I watched a little bit TV and tried to learn a little bit english vocalbulary but the young boy was really tired an cried, so it wasn't able for me to repeat some papers. I feel always tired. Have to go the hole day to school and on the weekend I have to watch a lot of sights. Not a lot time for sleeping out.:)

4.10.08 Saturday

What for a fucking headache. I thought my head will explode when I woke up. It was 13.30 o'clock so my half birthday was over. First I took a shower and watched a little bit TV. Noone was at home because they were working. I felt not very well, so I went back in my bed. At 15 o'clock I heard my hostdad so I got up. My hostdad told me, that he was up, up to 2 o'clock. Then I saw, how he made the curtains on the wall. In their sleeping room. After that I was a little bit on the computer. The tea was a big omelette, and I had to take some spice extra, because he doesn't use salt or peper. But he made too some bigbigbig chips and on the top was tomatosauce out of the pan.
In the evening I went to the tass to meet Brian. Andrea, who came too, gave me a bottle of froach, the beer, which i searched for a long time. Brian arrived with his wife and an other teacher. However, we talked for a long time and a lot about the army. :) funny storys. After that we went home. I ate 6 pieces of toast. I was really hungry. The children stayed by her aunt so it was really quite. How nice was it, no noise, no crying children:).

3.10.08 Friday

One day before I've birthday. I the morning and afternoon I went to school. At the evening I went with some friends into a pup. It was great, and we had really fun. There was Marc, Martin, Reto, Samuel, Mischelle, Stefanie and Sonia. At 1. oclock they closed the pub and we asked an old drunken pair where we can go out. They lead us to a disco, where I properly forgot my handkerchief. I don't no when we left the disco but the special thing was, that I danced in the disco. And this doesn't happen very often. I think I was at 4 o'clock at home. Because I walked home. On the way, there were about 14 guys, who had a fight. It's incredible but every night you can see true action on the streets of Edinburgh.

1.10.2008 Wednesday

The time goes so fast. Today I went to school at 8.30. I always go on the balcony because there are some computer. Downstairs some students present some news on a whitboard, up to 9. olock. After that we have 1 hour fluency class. At the moment we try to make a film. Of course we have to write down first the different szene. So we're at the moment at the beginning. After that we have two other lessons with vocabulaire and grammair. After that we had lunch. I went with a french guy, an some other people to the ....sub. After that we went to a pup a drank a beer before we had the afternoon lessons. After school I walked along the Princes street for searching a Shop with USB Sticks. I found one (1 GB 9.99£). At home I wrotte a little bit in the msn with my friends and load some pictures on my page. At the evening I went into the tron. There was a line so I have to wait after 5 minutes I stand forward the security guard. I don't know, but always if I show my passport they asked me if I have no other pass. Perhaps it is because I have to do next year 09 a new one. And on the picture I look a little bit young. ^^ When I was in the tron I thought I will met some friends but there was noone. So i went downstairs in the bandroom. There I sat at a table and started to talk to some people. Really fast we found out that we were all swiss guys. :) After a little bit smalltalk I looked to a group of Scotish boys playing a drinking game. So I went to theme and asked if I could play with. It was really funny, but when their collegue came to our table (ladys) we have to stop the game. It wouldn't be nice if we played it with the ladys. Because sometimes it was really primitiv. At 23.13 I left the club and went to the Northern Bridge. The last few metres I ran because the bus was there. Yeah, I think thats all, at home I looked a little bit tv with my host dady but I was really tired.

29.9.2008 Monday

I had school like every day. When I had my lunch I ate in the school a Burger (microwaveburger for 1.29£ :) ).
At the evening I went to the tass. I thought Mike wanna come too, but he doesn't so I was alone in the class. A lot of Scottish people and of course some great artists. I drank a Tennene and a Caledonnian an left 'the tass' after 1 hour and 30 minutes.

28.9.2008 Sunday

I get up to early and tried to send all photos with e-mail home. But it needs really a lot of time so i sent a lot of E-Mail with only some photos. After that I went to the Starsbuck to meet Andrea for watching all the important sights.We said we met us between 10.00 - 10.30. First i met Barbara also a swiss girl forward the Starbucks we talked until Andrea arrived (10.37). We said we could go together on the Arthur seat. After that i went with Andrea in the Starbucks for talking about which sights we should go watching. Then we deside we walk in the morning on Arthurs seat. It was really great but on the top a little bit windy. After we walked 2hours on the top we left the mountain. Then we went in a pup where she was the evening before. First you have to walk through a door to arrive forward the bar. It was great because they stick a lot of money papers over the bar. Too ten swissfrancs. I drank only an Ale. So after this big lunch i we went to the Botanic Gardens, which were really nice. We paid 3.50 £ for the entry into the glashouse. (a lot of tropic plants). When we went back it rained a little bit. In the evening I stayed home and at a Scottish pie with mint. I think thats all. See you soon.

27.9.2008 Saturday

We met us forward the starbucks for going watch the sights. But I went first in a Scottish shop for making message (buying sandwich, snickers). Rene was to early there so he went back home. We met us at 9.30 -10.00. Oliver was our tourist guide because it was his last day. He lead us to a hotel which looked like a church. After that we went to the endinburgh castle. It was great but not cheap. You have to pay 12£ for enter into the castle. So we walked through the castle. After that we went in a pub, where i ate wonderful pasta. After that we search the Sandy Bells. On the way we saw a lap-dancing house. Perhaps I will go there if I saw all sights:P. After we asked in a hotel where exactly the Sandy Bells is we found it. There i drunk a beer (I asked a lot of Pups if the have a Froach beer with in english hether but no pup has these beer). After the chinese/swiss guy and Oliver left i talked a little bit with Andrea. For tea i ate a fishpie. In the night I thought i met some friends but they didn't came so I went into the thron. There were some local bands and I talked with the singers and members of the Band. It was really great metting some Scottish?American guys and speaking english. But the where all older than me. Two of them were married. (nice lovestory:) ).

26.9.2008 Friday

I went to school like every day. In the last lesson we went to the museum of the habitants. The teacher forced us to fill out a paper with questions. There was something about a women with 7 child, who had really problems. Then the youth, who deside to put on clothes which look terrible. Then I saw a laundry where the people went for washing their clothes. After that I went home. I ate tea (dinner). After that I met my friends in the tass. It was great we talked about different things and there were some artists. I take a glass with me as a souvenir. After that, mischelle told us that on the other side of the northern Bridge a area only with pubs is. So we went there. After we found the right pub we drank a beer. And after this beer it was 1 o’clock, so all the pub closed their doors and threw the guest out…no of course not but at 12.30 they closed the pub and we left the pub at 1 o’clock. Then we make a photo. The friends makes jokes about me because I took 2 glasses with me. After that i saw that missed a bus. So i walked home. It was really busy because when i walked home I saw a guy with bloody hands, he was really drunken. The busdriver through him out I think, so he walked to the next busstation. There the police waited for him. With 2 police cars. I passed this *fuckin bastards*:) and when I turned in my street police car stand next to the supermarket. There was a terrible alarm and he checked if there someone brokes in. When I arrived home it was 2.45 a.m. so I went directly to bed.

25.9.2008 Thursday

I slept 10 minutes longer than normally. After that I got up and had a shower like every day. I’m all day stressed with catching the bus. I met Nuno in the bus, he's of course from switzerland. We had today our presentation. I fought I had mad a bad one, but it was ok. I get tree mark (3+,3, and 4) I think…
After that we went to the pizza hut. I ate there with Andrea and Rene and after a few minutes Oliver and Samuel entered in. So we had to change in another part. I had a crispy tortilla pizza. Was ok. Then we went out and straight to the starbucks like every day. Rene and Andrea need always their cafe. After that we went back to school in the masterclass. We were a bit late but Brian wasn’t there. After he came in the room we were speaking over the best Japanese restaurant and where the oldest pub is. And that he will come with to sandy’s pub with us… but not this weekend. After school we went in a garden near the railway station. Mischelle and Reto will go to the loch ness this weekend. At home I ate sliced potatoes with carottes and meat. After that I went to the supermarket and bought sandwiches, batteries and cereals. At night I watched TV with my host grandmother. Sometimes she talks relly to much. But she is ok.

24.9.2008 Wednesday

We had school like every day. In midday, I went with Andrea (primary swiss teacher), Rene (employee IBM) and with Oliver (Spanish toyproducer) to a sandwich restaurant like the subway. It tastes great and it was cheap and we had the food in a few minutes (very importent because we were at Tuesday some minutes later than 2 o'clock p.m. in school) After that we went to school. After school I worked a little bit for the presentation for Thursday, about Switzerland. At 5.30 p.m. we have to left computer room because a women entered for cleaning. When I arrived at home I saw the grandmother again. The wife of Keith warmed my food (mint (meat) with pieces of carrots and mashed potatoes) It tastes good. After that the wife have to left the house for going to the work. She works nightshift on Tuesday-Friday. So I rested with the grandmother like the day before in the living room, watching TV. I told her I will left the house to go to the city.
I arrived in city at 9 o’clock. We stayed in the Tron, where one beer is only one pound. So I bought a beer and a pitcher (4 £) but I had drunken only 3 beers (it's rare that I can count all my beer:D). In the pub I met Mike (Spain), Oliver (Spain), Reto(Swiss), Samuel (Swiss), Michelle (Swiss from Basel) and an other swiss guy (his sister works in menziken as a mechanical). I went to bus at 23.30 I think. In the bus I met another swiss guy (Joel) he goes to another language school an stays in Edinburgh for 3 week. After I arrived home keith and the grandmother have watched tv, a very interesting programm. Police officer try to catch some stupid guys which try to run away or drive away of the police. I mad my microwave sandwich and after that we went to the bed. When I was lying In the bed I finished my presentation.

23.9.2008 Tuesday

I’ve left the house at half past eight because we had school on 9.30. After I walked to the bus station number 5 I met a swiss girl. In the midday we were in the wannaburger restaurant. I had some onion rings and a classic burger. In the evening we were in 'the tass'. Oliver and Mike was there and some other swiss guys. *cheers. At home i reste with the grandmother of Keith. We talked up to middnight and went to bed.

22.9.2008 1. Schultag

I got up at 7.20 to have a shower. My host dad brought me up to the school and showed me, which bus I have to try for school. When we arrived we had 15 minutes news of the director lady. She talked about the swiss man, who wanna cook with swiss milk and about the penny farthing. After that we had our first writing test (30 minutes) and after this test we had to write an essaye. After this we had a conversation 1:1 and the teacher was listening. We talked about our future plans, the present, the family and our hobbys. I had my conversation with rene. We ate lunch in the tolbooth tavern an I ate a burger and some chips. In the afternoon we had some normal english lessons. After school i went to the office for making a student card, and after that we went to the bus office for buying a bus ticket for this 4 weeks. After that I went home. They made meat with a special bread, beans and carottes. After that I watched with them TV. It was a strenght day. To hear all the time english.

21.9.2008 Abflug Ankunft

I was with my parents and grandparents 3 hours before the plane leaves on the airport. So first we arrived in the parking house. After that, we searched the first Quick-Check. We had some problems with this new sort of check'in so we asked a women to help us. After that i got my ticket i gave up my luggage. Then we went in the restaurant. I had eaten a croissante with swiss chocolate and a cafe. My grandfather bought after that some normal croissante in the coop. After we walked through the airport, we went to the migros for buying some typicale swisschocolate for the hostfamily. Then Samuel Kirchhof called me to come to the ticketcheckin so I went there with my mom and the grandparents. When I arrived we said hello and went through the Ticketpart. We go through the free tax zone. In this area we waited up to the loude speaker, which said that we have to get on our plan. During the flight I was seating next to the window.
When we arrived in Frankfurt we ate Sushi in a restaurant. We had really enough time to change the plane. Then the bus brought us to our plane (Frankfurt - Edinburgh). I was sitting next to women with a child, who flight for 6 times. The view was great because there was a big cloudy carpet over Great Britain. After we arrived in Edinburgh I took my luaggage and went out with two swissguys, because during the flight we met another exchange student. We took a bus up to the center (cost 2/3 £). After that i tried to went by a bus to my hostfamily but we had really problems to find the right bus so I took a taxi. It cost 7 £, what a SHAME. After I arrived I saw my hostfamily for the first time. Lorren and Shan were a little bit shy. I have a great room. They were happy about the cow, chocolate and the game (Loto).
